Urban Sustainability Consultant, NEAPOLI Environmental Design & Engineering
Azzah Khalid specialises in Sustainable Cities & the Built Environment and has been involved in several regional policy and green building projects of NEAPOLI in Malaysia, such as the Sustainable Regional Sustainability Policy for Desaru Coast, Johor and Datai Coast in Langkawi. She graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Science, doubled majored in Human Geography and Conservation Ecology from Monash University and holds a Master of Environment with an emphasis on Sustainable Cities and Regions from University of Melbourne. Her research entitled "Urban Greenery: Malaysia vs. Singapore" with Dr. Ole Fryd, has identified several potentials and conflicts in provision of urban greenery. Azzah combines both environmental science and urban planning knowledge in policy making at NEAPOLI to promote an integrated sustainable policy approach. Azzah believes that whilst many aspire for sustainable development, the process of achieving it requires a concerted integrated partnership between the doers, the regulators, the clients and the dreamers.
