Prof. Dr. Muhd Zaimi Abd. Majid

Prof. Dr. Muhd Zaimi Bin Abd. Majid, is currently the Senior Director of Institute for Smart Infrastructure and Innovative Construction (ISIIC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. His expertise includes smart construction, sustainable green construction, application of bio and nano technology in construction. He has received research fund of more than RM2.5 million (USD 0.6 million) as principal researcher. Among successful research outputs that have been developed are MyGHI and Fast Track Wall (FTW) which have been applied in Malaysia construction industry.  Prof. Muhd Zaimi also has published more than 90 journal papers in high impact journals that indexed in ISI and Scopus. He has more than 25 years of experience in conducting research and well recognized by peer all over the world in the construction field. The contribution that has been made thus far is significant to the construction industry and the environment. Most of his researches address the issue of green (introducing bio material), sustainability, resilient, waste reduction and increasing the productivity of construction activities. Prof. Muhd Zaimi is also the Project Leader for Malaysia Green Highway Index Evaluation Tool, Project Leader for Solar Decathlon Datong, China 2013 and Project Leader for UTM Eco-Home.
