Norliza Hashim is the Managing Director of AJM Planning and Urban Design Group Sdn Bhd, a multi-disciplinary firm that focus on providing creative and innovative solutions for a sustainable built environment. With more than 25 years of experience, it covers a wide spectrum of the planning discipline and has undertaken projects all across the globe and where she has also serve as a consultant to UN-Habitat in its Human Settlement Programmes. Norliza is the Secretary General of the Eastern Organisation of Planning and Human Settlement (EAROPH), an International Multi-Sectoral Organisation covering the Asia Pacific region and that promotes sustainability of human settlement. She is also a Board Member of the Board of Town Planners Malaysia. She is also the Director of the Malaysian Institute of Planners Low Carbon Cities and Sustainability Centre and led a team of experts to develop the Low Carbon Cities Assessment Framework for the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Malaysia. She is a Board of Director of the Melaka World Heritage Sdn Bhd and she is active in community-based programmes and sits on various technical working groups and various advisory panels in Malaysia.
