Mr. Henry Steed

Henry Steed is a British Chartered Landscape Architect with over 45 years of experience in Landscape, 38 of which have been in the Asian tropics. He pioneered new offices in Hong Kong, Singapore Malaysia and Indonesia. His experience extends through the arid climates of Egypt and the Persian Gulf to semi-arid India, tropical Asia and the temperate zones of China. Henry is the Design Director of ICN Design International, a firm of Landscape Architects based in Singapore. During Henry’s years of working in Asia and the Middle East, he has established a reputation as a leading landscape designer and has won numerous landscape awards. Henry has created every kind of landscape, from conserving naturalised environments and making nature trails, to exotic gardens for hotels and residences, and landscapes for parks, campuses, zoos, streetscape, airports, hospitals and civic design for high rise city-centres. In order to pass his experience on, he teaches students and his staff, to encourage them to create their own visions for the future.  Henry has recently written and illustrated a new book on “Greening the Vertical Garden City”, published in 2015 by the URA and National Parks Board.
